Job Description Industry/ Organization Type: Construction of buildings Position Title: Quantity Surveyor (Building Construction) Working Location: Kaki Bukit Working Hours: 5 days (Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM) Salary Package: Basic Salary + OT Pay Duration: Permanent Role Key Responsibilities Secure new contracts and projects and manage project contracts from tender stage to completion. Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and project specifications. Review client requirements and work with the project team on feasibility studies, cost planning, and value management. Carry out cost analysis, budget monitoring, and cost control for project trade works throughout each project stage. Develop procurement strategies, source subcontractors and suppliers, and recommend cost-effective options. Prepare and analyse tender costing, evaluate tender results, and prepare reports for management review. Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks, variations, claims, and contract-related matters. Allocate work to subcontractors, assess completed works, and prepare payment certifications. Ensure project contracts and QS work comply with relevant ISO standards, company procedures, and applicable regulations such as the Security of Payment Act (SOP). Any ad hoc duties assigned. APPLY NOW!!! Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction, or a related field. At least 4 years of quantity surveying experience in building construction. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project. Good knowledge of tendering, contract administration, cost control, procurement, variations, and progress claims. Strong negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Able to work in a fast-paced project environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
