Job Description
Sit within the Business Compliance Management function of the Bank’s Private Banking Department. This role is primarily responsible for managing the end-to-end due diligence, approval, and ongoing review of third-party relationships onboarded for private banking services. This includes trading counterparties, brokers, issuers, fund houses, referrers, service providers, and outsourced vendors and other external parties that may pose regulatory, legal, operational, financial crime, reputational, data, or technology risk to the Bank. Responsibilities include: • Review the onboarding requests from front office for new trading counterparties, brokers, issuers, fund houses and referrers related to the on-going trading and business activities of the private banking services. • Conduct due diligence checks of service providers proposed for new business relationship; including corporate information review, licensing or regulatory status checks, sanctions screening, adverse media review, reputation risk assessment, and financial crime risk considerations. • Assess the nature and purpose of the proposed relationship, proposed activities, products or services involved, jurisdictional exposure, regulatory license status, ownership structure, financial statement, data protection and security capability based on the Bank’s guidelines. • Work with Legal and relevant stakeholders on contractual arrangements, including service agreements, referral agreements, trading documentation, reliance arrangements, and data protection clauses. • Prepare the counterparty assessment papers, approval memos, due diligence summaries, risk opinions, and escalation notes for management review and approval. • Maintain accurate records of onboarding decisions, approvals, outstanding conditions, and periodic review requirements. • Support periodic and trigger reviews of existing counterparties and service providers to ensure continued suitability and compliance with internal requirements. • Support the B
