Nutrition & Food Science (NFS) Lab Assistant – School Environment (Jurong East) 📍 Location: Jurong East Avenue 1 📅 Contract Period: 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2027 (with an option to extend for up to 2 additional years) 💼 Employment Type: Contract (Hourly Rated) We are looking for a responsible and experienced Nutrition & Food Science (NFS) Lab Assistant to support the daily operations of a school's food laboratories. Working Hours School Term Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break) School Holidays Preparation work may be required on selected weekdays during the same working hours. Off Days Saturdays Sundays Gazetted Public Holidays Key Responsibilities Maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and daily upkeep of the Nutrition & Food Science laboratories and preparation rooms. Prepare ingredients, equipment, utensils, and workstations for practical lessons and examinations. Coordinate and procure fresh food ingredients based on teachers' lesson requirements. Maintain administrative records, including invoices, receipts, delivery orders, and billing documentation. Conduct regular inventory checks and stock-taking of equipment, utensils, and teaching resources. Coordinate maintenance and servicing of commercial kitchen equipment with external vendors. Support teachers and other school departments in the use of laboratory facilities. Ensure food safety, hygiene, and laboratory safety standards are maintained at all times. Perform other duties assigned by the school. Requirements Minimum Secondary School education or equivalent. At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role within a school environment . Valid certification in Food Hygiene, Food Preparation, and Food Safety . Able to communicate effectively in English. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Organised, respon
