Key Responsibilities of a Construction Site Supervisor: 1. Supervising Daily Operations • Oversee and coordinate on-site activities. • Ensure work is progressing according to schedule and specifications. • Monitor the performance of workers and subcontractors. 2. Safety Management • Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations. • Conduct safety briefings and ensure the use of protective equipment. • Investigate and report incidents or accidents. 3. Quality Control • Ensure that work meets the required standards and specifications. • Inspect materials and workmanship. • Address quality issues promptly. 4. Communication & Coordination • Act as a liaison between workers, project managers, architects, engineers, and clients. • Communicate project goals, deadlines, and changes to the site crew. • Report progress and problems to senior management. 5. Resource Management • Manage tools, materials, and equipment. • Prevent wastage and ensure materials are used efficiently. • Order supplies and materials as needed. 6. Documentation & Reporting • Maintain daily logs of site activities. • Track attendance, delays, incidents, and inspections. • Submit reports to project managers or site engineers. 7. Problem Solving • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site. • Make decisions on the spot to keep the project moving. 8. Compliance • Ensure the project follows building codes, regulations, and company policies. • Prepare for inspections and ensure readiness.
