Business Development Manager - Defense Sales Join a legacy of American craftsmanship and safety as a Business Development Manager specializing in Defense Sales. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of expanding our defense product line, building strategic relationships, and driving sales growth within designated U.S. regions. Your expertise will help ensure our innovative protective technologies reach key military and defense clients, supporting those who serve and protecting the American workforce. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your sales acumen and defense industry knowledge to make a meaningful impact across the country. Sales Region: MT, WY, CO, NM, ID, UT, AZ, NV, WA, CA, HI, AK (must reside in one of these states) Salary: $100-125K plus bonus Required Skills: Minimum of five years of regional sales management experience, with at least two years selling to military or defense sectors preferred Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key accounts in a designated territory Strong relationship-building skills with distribution partners, end users, and key decision makers Ability to develop a professional understanding of NSA defense products, protective technologies, and related compliance requirements (Berry Amendment, TAA) Basic knowledge of military contracting, procurement processes, funding requests, and purchasing vehicles Proficiency in using Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and video conferencing tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams) Willingness to travel extensively, often in adverse weather conditions, including long-distance car and plane trips Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs of product samples Nice to Have Skills: Military experience or familiarity with military procurement and sales processes Previous experience in safety apparel or protective equipment industries Familiarity with U.S. government procurement policies and programs Bilingual abilities
