Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer | Fully remote within Spain | Permanent | Spain We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer with a deep understanding of AWS , Kubernetes , and modern DevOps practices to join our client based in Spain .

Our client operates in sectors such as drug design and discovery, genomics, bioinformatics, aerospace, aeronautics, astrophysics, quantum chemistry, energy, and automotive.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining state-of-the-art DevOps infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security for our products and services.

The Responsibilities and Skills of the Ideal Candidate: Possess a minimum of 5 years of DevOps experience , with a solid foundation in AWS Services and Kubernetes . Demonstrate substantial expertise in Python or Java programming .

Design and implement a scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure using Kubernetes on AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service ( EKS ) to facilitate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerised applications.

Utilise GitOps methodologies to manage infrastructure and application configuration as code, ensuring uniformity, traceability, and auditability across development, staging, and production environments.

Implement and manage ArgoCD and GitLab for continuous delivery, automating deployment processes and ensuring swift, secure, and consistent application deployments. Provide support for MicroService-based applications ( Python or Java ) in a Kubernetes environment .

Exhibit familiarity with Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) tools Develop and execute comprehensive cloud security strategies to safeguard sensitive data, infrastructure, and applications from potential threats , incorporating best practices in identity and access management, data encryption, and security monitoring.
