Software Development Team Lead Remote, Lewisville, TX or Buffalo Grove, IL Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm We are seeking a talented and collaborative Software Development Team Lead to guide and mentor a dynamic team of developers in our TechOps team. The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with leadership capabilities, passionate about mentoring early-career professionals, driving architectural decisions, and delivering high-quality software solutions. The role supports internal teams dedicated to delivering collateral critical to our clients with strict deadlines and high accuracy requirements. Some of the things you’ll be doing: Lead, mentor, and support team members, helping them enhance their technical skills and professional growth. Guide the software development lifecycle, including architectural design, development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Lead by example and coach the team in adopting AI‑assisted development practices, enabling the team to solve problems more effectively and deliver higher‑quality solutions faster through human‑guided use of AI tools. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and collaborate with other teams (e.g., DevOps) to deliver high-quality tools that drive efficiency Provide technical leadership in architectural decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives. Facilitate code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices across the development team. Oversee task delegation, resource allocation, and prioritization within an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban). Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and stakeholder meetings. Create and maintain clear technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials. Provide immediate and continuous feedback regarding team performance and individual career development. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new development team members.
