We are currently seeking remote International Purchasing Coordinator in Colombia. Title: International Purchasing Coordinator Reports to: Head of Supply Chain Position Overview: Responsibilities will include establishing positive relationships with our vendors and maintaining a detailed record of all purchase orders. To ensure success as an international purchasing coordinator, must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively with a variety of staff members in all departments. Ultimately, an outstanding purchasing coordinator should have strong business acumen, as well as a detailed, nuanced understanding of the buying and importing process. One of the key parts of this role is to identify and engage with engineering, operations, marketing, sales and quality team to understand commodity requirements and ensure supply base is aligned. Understands commodities for supply chain operations, specifically finished goods and material and reports to the supply chain manager in the production department. This role is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of advantaged purchasing strategies to support the procurement of products and material supplies for company operations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree In Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field Minimum 5-year experience in consumer products with the potential to continue to advance within the international purchasing environment. Experience of handling international shipments via ocean freight and air freight. Proven experience and success in leading major cost savings initiatives and cross functional teams within consumer-packaged goods companies Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, results-oriented matrix environment Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
