Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Electrical & Controls Engineer to serve as a technical contributor for electrical power systems and controls engineering within One MHS (One Material - 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience - Experience with prototyping and implementation - Experience with Industrial control systems, both hardware and software - Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD experience and understanding of best practices for part design, and advanced assemblies - Experience with preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics & robotics - Experience with 3 phase electrical systems - Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent, or 7+ years of developing electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical (2010 or newer) experience - Experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, or experience in computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Deep understanding of EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, and PROFINET communication protocols - Proficiency with IPCs, PLC programming, and SCADA system design - Thorough understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) and its application to industrial installations - Proven ability to conduct in-field installation audits and ensure code compliance - Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
