## Computer Operator (Construction & Engineering) Job Title: Computer Operator – Engineering & Construction Support Occupation: COMPUTER OPERATOR ------------------------------ ## Job Description & Requirements Experience Required: Minimum 1.5 years of relevant experience as a Computer Operator, preferably within the construction, engineering, or project management sectors. ## Key Responsibilities: * Operate and monitor project management systems, construction software, and related IT equipment. * Perform heavy data entry for project tracking, material logs, and daily site progress records. * Generate, update, and maintain project reports, change orders, and submittal logs. * Monitor system performance, ensuring site-to-office connectivity and reporting any technical issues. * Perform routine backups of critical project data, blueprints, and digital archives to ensure data integrity. * Coordinate with IT support to resolve hardware and software technical problems across site offices. * Maintain strict documentation, project files, operational logs, and transmittals. * Ensure compliance with company safety policies, data protocols, and industry procedures. ## Requirements: * Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a Computer Operator, site clerk, or in a similar industry role. * Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with advanced skills in tracking spreadsheets. * Exposure to or willingness to learn industry software (e.g., AutoCAD viewers, Primavera P6, or Procore). * Good typing speed and high accuracy for processing technical specifications and numbers. * Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and remote network setups for site offices. * Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to handle high-volume project documentation. * Good communication skills and ability to work independently or collaborate with site engineers and project teams.
