Job Description
The Cloud Administrator is responsible for the administration, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise cloud environments, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and Azure VMware Solution (AVS). The role ensures the secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of cloud infrastructure services while aligning with organizational governance, security, and compliance requirements. Core Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure Operations Administer and support Azure resources (VMs, networking, storage, identity, backup, monitoring) Support Azure VMware Solution (AVS) environments and hybrid connectivity Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; proactively address issues Perform incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis Security & Access Management Implement and maintain Azure security controls (RBAC, Conditional Access, MFA) Manage administrative roles and enforce least-privilege access models Support vulnerability remediation and compliance activities Administer Azure AD (Entra ID): Users, groups, service principals Assist with privileged role governance Support implementation of: Security baselines Logging and audit configurations Assist with audit readiness and evidence collection Ensure consistency of controls across: Azure native AVS-connected environments Automation & Configuration Management Develop and maintain automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM/Bicep/Terraform) Standardize builds and configurations using enterprise templates (landing zones) Subscription & Landing Zone Governance Manage: Subscriptions, resource groups Management groups hierarchy Apply and maintain: Azure Policies Naming standards, tagging compliance Ensure workloads are deployed into the approved landing zones Azure (Native Cloud Services) Administer Azure-native services (IaaS/PaaS), including: Virtual Machines, App Services (if applicable) Storage, Backup, and DR Networking (VNETs, NSGs, DNS, Azure Firewall, etc.) Monitor and optimize performance, avai
