Solarvest is a Malaysia-based integrated solar and renewable energy provider delivering solar projects and related energy solutions across the Asia Pacific region. Operating at the intersection of energy, infrastructure, and project delivery, the company supports complex renewable projects that require strong commercial judgment, practical legal structuring, and disciplined risk management. This role is a key senior legal position within the business, supporting project delivery, financing, governance, and strategic decision-making across the Group. You will provide commercially sound legal advice across a broad range of matters, helping the business navigate complex contractual arrangements, manage risk proactively, and support regional growth in the renewable energy and construction space. Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate EPCC, EPC, Design & Build, Supply, and O&M contracts, with clear articulation of employer and contractor responsibilities and risk allocation Review and structure subcontracts to protect the company's position as main contractor and maintain back-to-back obligations Establish and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks Provide legal support across the full project lifecycle, including tender, execution, and close-out Advise on contractual provisions such as Conditions Precedent (CP), Liquidated Damages (LD), Performance Bonds / Bank Guarantees, Variation Orders (VO), and Extension of Time (EOT) Identify and mitigate contractual and counterparty risks, including financial close, creditworthiness, and project bankability issues Review and support negotiation of financing-related documentation, including facility agreements and security documents Handle Bank Guarantee / Performance Bond structures and assignment-related arrangements Manage and support dispute resolution, including adjudication (CIPAA), arbitration, and litigation Work with Project and Finance teams on claim strategies, contractual positions, and supporting do
