Job Description
QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER (CORROSION) Engineering/B.Sc. in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Chemical, Production, Civil, Fabrication or equivalent with relevant refinery experience preferably with post-graduation or industrial training in Metallurgy. 5 to 8 years of work experience in a large refinery/petrochemical/ fertilizer industry out of which minimum 4 years should be in in-service inspection. Quality Control Engineer/Corrosion shall be capable to handle basic functions including, but not limited to the following: Studies, monitors, and reports on environmental conditions in the Refinery that cause the deterioration of metal by corrosion or a combination of corrosion and other adverse factors and recommend solutions. Coordinates corrosion control activities with Operations, Maintenance /Engineering and Consultants representatives. Shall be conversant with latest API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, TEMA, NACE codes / standards. Experience in RBI methodology is preferred.
