Roles & Responsibilities Responsibilities: • Performs activities related to the electrical works and maintenance needed onboard vessels • Systems / power generation / backup power source / fire detection system and safety system for 2 stroke or 4 stroke engines • Assist to guide onboard service engineers on the task which require electrical engineers’ competencies so as to operate and maintain electrical/electronic/electro-hydraulic/electro-pneumatic/automation systems efficiently. • Termination works on vessel / Trouble shooting of 4 stroke generator safety system / Electrical governors would be value added • Advise customers / Supt, the need of shore assistance or need to procure spares in case defects of equipment failures which cannot be resolved thru onboard attendance. • Carry out on board attendance in liaison with the Service manager • Provide work done report and submit to service managers • Experience in carrying out maintenance marine alternators is a plus • Carry out annual calibration of Cargo tanks Temperature and Pressure sensors, manifold pressure gauges of fleet vessels • Identify areas for improvements and to have good PR in dealing with customers in SG or Overseas regardless of location Requirements: • Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Technical Cert • Preferably 5 years of relevant work experience in Marine Electrical Industry. • Hands on experience working onboard sea going vessels as ETO (Electrical-Technical Officers) would be value added • Possess good knowledge of electrical power distribution, maintenance and practical hands-on skills • Proficient in troubleshooting & fault diagnosis skills related to electrical, instrumentation, automation & control and including air conditioning and ventilation system • Able to read and understand Engineering Drawings (Electrical and pneumatic) • Familiar with regulatory and legislative shipping industry environment • A team player and collaborate well with office technical team as well as shipboard tea
