Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. You may meet the basic requirements through substitution of education for experience. To qualify at the GS-7, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level: Assisting in performing activities such as basic technical analysis, end-user support services, software development, simulation and test, cybersecurity or artificial intelligence related efforts. To qualify for the GS-9, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level: Performing activities such as basic technical analysis, end user support services, software development, simulation and test, cybersecurity or artificial intelligence related efforts. To qualify for the GS-11, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level: Performing activities such as technical analysis, software development, simulation and testing, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence efforts, or end-user support services. Producing technical work products/results and applying technical judgment under supervision. To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. Performing activities such as complex technical systems analysis, systems/software development, simulation and testing, cybersecurity/mission protection, artificial intelligence efforts, or end-user support services. Producing technical work products and applying technical judgment to independently resolve technical issues and support activities with limited supervision.
