Job Summary We invite applications from highly motivated, self-drivencandidates to join a dynamic and highly collaborative team of scientists andengineers at A*STAR ISCE2, based on Jurong Island. The successful candidatewill contribute to research and development work in catalysis for carbonconversion. The role involves working on a broad spectrum of R&Dprojects, from foundational capability development to applied research,offering significant opportunities for professional growth and meaningfulimpact. Key Scope The key scope of work includes: Contribute to designing and developing efficient and robust catalysts for converting small molecules to fuels and chemicals. Participate in leading catalyst development projects with industry and academic partners. Participate in the synthesis of solid catalysts and characterization of catalytic properties using advanced methods. Operate single-tube and high-throughput catalytic reactor systems and data analysis. Draft manuscripts and research progress reports. Communicate results by presenting at project meetings and conferences. Collaborate with industry partners, affiliated research institutes, and other key stakeholders to translate research outcomes into real-world impact. Requirements A strong academic background in chemistry and/or chemical engineering, preferably with a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials, with a major in heterogeneous thermal catalysis, with 6-12 years of post-PhD experience. Independent researcher with proven ability to manage a research group. Able to write grant proposals independently and successfully direct research projects. Strong knowledge of heterogeneous catalysis, material synthesis, and surface characterization. Previous experience in catalyst design for thermocatalytic COx conversion is an advantage. Experience with machine learning techniques, including neural networks and deep learning, is desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability
