Job Summary You will lead the operations team in a fast-growing maritime tech startup, managing tanker chartering operations and charter parties while driving team performance and operational excellence. Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily operations of the operations team to ensure smooth workflow and achievement of targets Provide guidance and support to junior team members and customers to resolve operational issues and enhance service quality Manage and maintain the internal VMS module to ensure accurate and efficient system performance Respond promptly to customer queries related to the VMS module, ensuring clear communication and resolution Lead and be accountable for the execution and performance of all team functions, driving operational effectiveness Set clear goals and develop actionable plans to address resource allocation and operational challenges Make informed decisions based on resource availability, company policies, processes, and business plans Plan and control resource deployment and process formation to optimize operational efficiency Required competencies and certifications Minimum 10 years of operations and management experience in ship owning, operating, or shipbroking within major commercial shipping markets Deep knowledge of commercial shipping and liquid bulk chemical vessel operations, including vessel chartering, voyage management, demurrage, and laytime calculation Proven experience liaising with Korean customers in the shipping industry Preferred competencies and qualifications Solution-driven approach to business and operations with strong problem-solving skills Open mindset with a positive attitude to foster team collaboration and adaptability Resilience to
