Job Description QA Automation (Mainframe) What does a successful Quality Assurance Engineer do at Fiserv The Quality Assurance Engineer is to implement best practice testing techniques and perform testing as part of the software development life cycle. The Analyst should have strong knowledge of generally accepted testing practices and Fiserv business rules as well as the testing and development processes. Under minimum supervision and adhering to established procedures for quality assurance, this engineer should be able to test and analyze software components to ensure usability and applicability to the business environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and scripts. Experience setting up test data and test environments Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing. Work with developers to resolve defects and issues. Create test cases and scripts that can be used by end-users to conduct UAT and/or Pilot Testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure test coverage. Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA. Interpret test data and interface with development teams and management. Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives. Track and report test results for the product's compliance to the functional specifications. Conduct non-functional testing such as performance, load, and security testing. Contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks. Advocate for continuous quality improvement and best practices in QA processes. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating required skills and competencies. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance development and testing. Functional and System regression test experience.
