Position Summary The Accounting Manager plays a key leadership role within the SAS team, ensuring the highest level of financial accuracy and compliance for our nonprofit clients. This position oversees all aspects of accounting operations, including monthly close processes, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP standards. The Accounting Manager works closely with Senior Accountants and Staff Accountants to maintain internal controls, streamline processes, and deliver actionable financial insights. Essential Functions Financial Reporting Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements and reports for multiple nonprofit clients. Conduct variance analyses comparing actual figures to budget, forecast, and prior periods. Financial Oversight Manage client accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Implement and monitor internal controls for revenue, expenses, and program budgets. Collaboration and Analysis Collaborate with client executives to communicate financial status and provide insights. Gain a deep understanding of client operations to offer tailored financial guidance and recommendations. Close Process Oversee and finalize monthly close transactions, including account reconciliations and ledger reviews. Ensure all workpapers tie accurately to financial statements. Audit and Budgeting
