Job Description
Conducts financial feasibility analysis for loan and grant administration and performs various financial analyses for environmental and business-related documentation as identified in task orders. The Economist/Financial Reviewer has an educational background in finance or a business-related field, and at least two years of experience in economics or financial analysis. Master's or Ph.D. degree in economics, agricultural economics, finance, or a related field. At least 3-5 years of experience in economic analysis, financial review, or related roles, preferably in the public sector or with federal agencies. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in econometric modeling, statistical analysis, and financial analysis techniques. Knowledge of agricultural markets, commodity pricing, farm economics, and rural development issues. Familiarity with USDA programs, policies, and regulations related to agriculture, food, nutrition, or rural development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex economic and financial concepts to diverse audiences. Experience working with financial management systems, budgeting processes, and financial reporting requirements. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in financial and economic analysis.
