Our client is looking for a Patient Engagement Specialist who plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless interactions with patients while optimizing the operational flow within the dental practice. This position requires expertise in utilizing dental practice management software, including OpenDental, and ideally, proficiency in processing insurance claims. Familiarity with additional platforms such as Dentrix, EagleSoft, CurveDental, or Denticon is highly desirable. The incumbent will be a vital link between patients, administrative processes, and the dental care team, contributing to an exceptional patient experience and efficient practice operations. Job Responsibilities Patient Communication and Coordination: Facilitate effective patient engagement by scheduling appointments, addressing inquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records using OpenDental and other relevant software. Insurance Claims Processing: Leverage expertise in insurance claim procedures to assist in processing claims accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely reimbursement for dental services. Software Proficiency: Utilize OpenDental, Dentrix, EagleSoft, CurveDental, Denticon, or other applicable software platforms to manage patient information, appointments, billing, and insurance details. Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments, optimizing the scheduling system to manage patient flow and provider availability. Billing and Financial Support: Collaborate with patients to explain treatment costs, billing inquiries, and insurance coverage, ensuring a clear understanding of financial responsibilities. Patient Education: Educate patients about recommended treatments, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care, enhancing patient understanding and compliance. Workflow Optimization: Contribute to practice efficiency by streamlining administrative processes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the dental team's needs. Documentation: Maintain thorough and organized rec
