Overview of Position The State Filing Compliance Analyst plays a critical role in safeguarding Assurant ’s regulatory posture by overseeing state insurance filing activities. This position serves as a key link between regulatory requirements and business execution, ensuring products remain compliant, market‑ready, and aligned with evolving regulatory expectations. What will my duties and responsibilities be in this job? Provide regulatory oversight by reviewing state insurance requirements and assessing their impact on existing products. Draft, review and revise policy forms to ensure compliance with state specific filing and regulatory requirements . Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders (Business, Legal, Actuarial, Underwriting, Operations, and Claims) to translate regulatory requirements into compliant product solutions. Manage the filing to support timely product approvals and minimize regulatory and operational risk. Serve as a primary point of contact with State Insurance Departments, proactively addressing questions, objections, and conditions to facilitate approvals. Ensure regulatory decisions, approvals, and exemptions are well documented, defensible, and auditable. Maintain governance over filing documentation, approvals, and regulatory records to support audit readiness and transparency. Ensure Assurant products and filings are aligned with applicable regulatory frameworks and corporate compliance standards. Regulatory Governance & Risk Management Provide direction and oversight for the preparation and submission of state compliance filings, ensuring consistency, quality, and regulatory alignment. Evaluate filing obligations and determine when exemptions apply, preparing documented assessments and recommendations for management approval. Support corporate governance activities, including company registration renewals and annual rate filings.
