Database Administrator (ref:120) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor and optimize database performance and availability, ensuring service levels are met and implement improvements when needed. Manage database operations and governance, including configuration, permissions, hardening standards, naming standards, and documentation. Ensure service continuity, leading backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery planning. Lead database implementation and support application teams, reviewing database design and recommending improvements to data models. Establish and enforce database standards and procedures across implementations. Engage stakeholders and educate teams, explaining technical decisions and promoting best practices in coding and design. Develop team capability, mentoring junior DBAs, conducting training, and sharing knowledge across the organization. Requirements: At least 2 years of experience in database administration. Posses experience with either Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL. Experience in database migration projects. Specifically, migration from Oracle to Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle to PostgreSQL.
