Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical Engineer background) will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving tooling systems while ensuring periodic maintenance of mechanical equipment in the manufacturing facility. This role supports production efficiency, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives. Job Duties: Tooling Design & Management Design, develop, and maintain jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support production. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure tooling meets product and process requirements. Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective actions. Periodic Maintenance Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for mechanical equipment. Monitor equipment performance and reliability, ensuring minimal downtime. Coordinate with maintenance teams to resolve mechanical failures quickly. Manufacturing Support Provide technical support to production teams on tooling and equipment usage. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in tooling and maintenance activities. Support new product introduction (NPI) by preparing tooling and equipment readiness. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve tooling efficiency and equipment reliability. Apply lean manufacturing and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles. Drive cost reduction initiatives through tooling optimization and maintenance improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience in tooling design, fabrication, and maintenance within manufacturing. Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX). Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with CNC machining or tool fabrication. Familiarity with TPM, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies. Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems for maintenance scheduling. Project management experience in ma
