About the Role The Director of Sustainability (Stakeholder Engagement) will serve as the primary lead for stakeholder engagement and communications relating to a company's sustainability strategy, initiatives, and ESG commitments. The role will focus on building trust, fostering collaboration, and ensuring effective engagement with stakeholders impacted by the organisation's sustainability agenda. Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Mapping & Engagement Strategy - Identify, assess, and prioritise key internal and external stakeholders relevant to the organisation's sustainability objectives. - Develop and implement structured stakeholder engagement plans to support sustainability initiatives and ESG goals. Relationship Management : - Serve as the primary point of contact for NGOs, industry associations, community organisations, government agencies, investors, and other stakeholders on sustainability-related matters. - Build and maintain long-term partnerships that support the company's environmental, social, and governance objectives. Internal Sustainability Advocacy - Work closely with management and employees to drive awareness, understanding, and adoption of sustainability initiatives. - Facilitate internal engagement and alignment towards the organisation's sustainability targets and commitments. Sustainability Communications - Translate sustainability data, initiatives, and performance outcomes into clear, accurate, and transparent communications for internal and external stakeholders. - Support ESG disclosures, sustainability reporting, and stakeholder communications while ensuring compliance with anti-greenwashing principles. Stakeholder Feedback & Materiality Assessment - Gather, analyse, and communicate stakeholder feedback to management to support decision-making and continuous improvement. - Contribute to materiality assessments and stakeholder engagement processes required for sustainability reporting and ESG governance.
