Adjunct Faculty Operations Management Department of Accounting and Finance UMGC Stateside Location: Stateside Remote University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach remotely in the Operations program. Specifically, we are seeking faculty for the following course(s): Foundations of Project Management (BMGT 250): An interdisciplinary introduction to data analysis, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI) in business operations and decision-making. The goal is to collect, process and analyze business data, identify cybersecurity threats; and explore AI fundamentals for business applications. Topics include data processing techniques, cybersecurity risk analysis, and practical AI tools. Operations Management (OPMG 300): A comprehensive study of the design and management of business operations, with an emphasis on building competitive advantage. Objectives include the optimization of both product and service operating processes. Topics include product development, process analysis, project management, quality management and the supply chain. Sustainability Management (OPMG 310): An introduction to the principles, strategies, and practical applications of sustainable business practices.¿ Going beyond traditional profit incentives, this course also integrates social responsibility, environmental stewardship, sustainable resource utilization and economic stability into organizational decision making. Topics include environmental, social, and economic impacts of business, emerging trends and innovation, sustainable business strategies that contribute to long-term profitability. Quality in the Value Chain (OPMG 320): A study of tools and methodologies for improving quality across the organizational value chain with a goal to identify, analyze and reduce inefficiencies while enhancing customer satisfaction. Apply quality management techniques across different stages of the value chain to improve overall customer satisfaction and performance. T
