Job Description
Amazon is seeking an experienced technical leader and First Deployment Engineer to own the onsite strategy and execution of complex, first-time automation deployments and build scalable mechanisms that - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field - Experience leading complex automation deployment projects end-to-end, including defining deployment strategies for new technologies where none previously existed - Subject matter expertise in more than one technical domain (e.g., robotics + deployment process design, automation hardware + infrastructure integration, or conveyance + sortation systems) - Demonstrated ability to influence across multiple teams and advise senior leadership on deployment strategy and technical trade-offs - Track record building scalable mechanisms, frameworks, or tooling adopted across an organisation - Experience mentoring and developing engineers - Strong written communication skills including authoring technical narratives and strategic documents - Willingness to travel up to 50% during EU deployment seasons - Experience resolving complex technical systems problems on-site in undefined environments
