Key responsibilities include leading design reviews, mentoring junior designers, collaborating with other disciplines, managing project timelines, and staying updated on relevant technologies to ensure the structural integrity and successful delivery of projects. Effective communication supported by a philosophy of continuous improvement and teamwork is required. Primary Responsibilities: Resource allocation for direct reports and coordination with engineering manager. Identify and resolve project issues by keeping an open line of communication between the internal project team and the client. Interact directly with clients to review and resolve technical project related issues without supervision. Collaborate with engineers/designers across disciplines and identify/resolve potential design issues to assure a complete, high-quality product. Ensures project deliverables for technical quality, accuracy and compliance with Company and Client standards. QA/QC site steel plans, sections, details along with corresponding BOMs prepared by direct reports.
