Join Our Culinary Team We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and detail-oriented Assistant Chef to join our premium dining establishment. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, values excellence in presentation, and is eager to contribute creatively to an elevated culinary experience. As an Assistant Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef and Lead Chef to support daily kitchen operations, menu development, and uphold the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and service. Key Responsibilities Maintain refined presentation and premium dining standards at all times. Contribute to seasonal menu development and the creation of signature dishes. Assist in the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of dishes, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients. Support the Lead Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, including costing, procurement, and inventory management. Assist the Head Chef in ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations during busy service periods while maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient workspace. Assist in the training, mentoring, and development of junior kitchen staff. Ensure strict compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations, including SFA/NEA and HACCP standards. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and machinery, including ovens, mixers, and other appliances, while promptly reporting faults or maintenance concerns. Requirements Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in premium or casual fine dining. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills. Passion for culinary excellence and willingness to learn and grow.
