Opportunity (Part-Time) : Cyber Strategy Subject Matter Expert (SME) - building capacity on a USG contract, supporting a partner nation. Bottom Line Up Front: Hoplite Group is seeking a Cyber Strategy Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a U.S. Government building partner capacity effort focused on the development of a cybersecurity strategy, governance framework, and strategic implementation planning. The SME will advise senior leadership on cyber strategy, governance, risk management, and organizational development to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities and support long-term mission success. Location: Remote support (CONUS) and forward engagements (OCONUS) in selected partner nation as part of a U.S. Government advising effort. Level of Effort: Non-Travel Months: Approximately 30 hours per month Engagement Months: Approximately 80–90 hours per month Travel: Approximately 6 engagements annually, every other month. Next engagement scheduled for mid-July 2026. Availability: Immediate Objective: Support the development of a cybersecurity strategy, governance framework, and strategic implementation plan to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities. Advise leadership on cyber planning, governance, and risk management to support long-term mission success and organizational resilience. Required Qualifications: Executive level professional experience performed at the E9/O6/GS-15 (or equivalent) level, leading policy and plans development in complex military or government cyber environments. Experience as a senior strategic planner involving cyberspace planning and operations. Experience developing and implementing cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines to address organizational security requirements and regulatory compliance. Awareness of strategies, programs, tools, and security procedures used to create and execute plans addressing priority cyber threats.
