Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Laboratory Setting, Office Job Description Job Description: Field Application Scientist – LATAM Job Description The Field Application Scientist (FAS) provides scientific, technical, and application support to customers, helping ensure successful adoption and effective use of Thermo Fisher Scientific products, instruments, software, workflows, and solutions. This professional acts as a technical reference for customers, sales teams, channel partners, and internal stakeholders, supporting both pre-sales and post-sales activities. The role contributes directly to customer satisfaction, opportunity conversion, revenue execution, customer retention, and sustainable business growth. The FAS may be located in any country within Latin America, provided they have easy access to major airports and the ability to travel frequently to customer sites, training centers, events, and internal meetings. This position may support different application areas depending on the business need, customer segment, and technical background of the selected candidate. Specific focus by position: For the Omics FAS: The role will focus on Metabolomics, Proteomics, and Biopharmaceutical applications , supporting advanced scientific workflows involving mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, protein and metabolite analysis, and related data analysis tools. For the Pharma FAS: The role will focus on the Pharmaceutical segment across Latin America , supporting analytical workflows involving HPLC, Ion Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, LCMS, GCMS, and Chromeleon software , with emphasis on regulated laboratory environments and integrated multi-technique solutions.
