Job Description
Minimum Qualifications for GS-15 level: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS 14. Experience leading enterprise architecture activities for an organization such as: Leading enterprise architecture (EA) activities for an organization, including developing, maintaining, and implementing enterprise-wide architecture frameworks, reference models, roadmaps, and standards aligned to business strategy. Conducting complex analyses of alternatives (AoAs) or similar evaluative studies to assess current-state environments, compare solution options, and recommend technology, process, or architecture approaches that improve organizational performance. Developing and executing IT modernization strategies or transformation plans that align business needs, technical capabilities, cybersecurity requirements, and budgetary constraints. Providing authoritative guidance to senior executives on the impact, feasibility, and risks of proposed IT investments, architectural changes, or modernization initiatives, including presenting findings and influencing decision-making. Evaluating enterprise-level systems, platforms, and technologies for alignment to target architectures and standards, and recommending actions to reduce technical debt, improve interoperability, or optimize the application portfolio. Leading cross-functional teams or working groups to define enterprise architecture requirements, facilitate architectural governance, and ensure compliance with architecture policies, standards, and lifecycle processes. Developing EA artifacts and documentation such as segment architectures, business capability models, technical roadmaps, data flow diagrams, and solution architecture assessments to support planning, governance, and investment decisions.
