Position Title: Policy Associate, Fusion Policy Reports to: Global Director, Fusion Energy Location: Remote, flexible, must be able to work East Coast hours Type: Full-time, one year, with the possibility of a one-year extension ABOUT CATF: Clean Air Task Force (CATF) is a nonprofit organization working to safeguard against the worst impacts of climate change by catalyzing the rapid global development and deployment of low-carbon energy and other climate-protecting technologies. This is accomplished through research and analysis, public advocacy leadership, and partnership with the private sector. CATF is highly respected for its deep expertise and research on energy and industrial systems and potential strategies, technologies, and policies that can radically shrink their impact on the planet’s atmosphere. Our team of experts and advocates along with a global network of subject matter experts and partners put this research into action by designing and advancing policies that drive toward zero emissions. ROLE: The Policy Associate, Fusion Policy, will support CATF’s work to advance fusion energy policy primarily across U.S. federal, U.S. state, and European contexts. This role focuses on contributing to research, policy development, and advocacy execution while working closely with senior staff and cross-functional teams. The Associate will help translate CATF’s fusion policy thought leadership into actionable advocacy, including engagement with policymakers and coordination with CATF’s U.S. and European advocacy teams. While primarily a support and execution role, the position offers opportunities to take the lead on select external-facing work, such as developing policy outputs and representing CATF in meetings or forums.
