Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Technician to join our project team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in transforming 2D engineering designs and architectural concepts into highly accurate 3D BIM models. You will work closely with BIM Coordinators, Project Engineers, and Architects to ensure models comply with Singapore's Building and Construction Authority (BCA) standards, assisting in clash detection and coordination to facilitate smooth on-site construction execution. Key Responsibilities BIM Modelling & Technical Drafting Develop detailed 3D models (including structural, architectural, or M&E services depending on project scope) using Autodesk Revit, Bentley, or other industry-standard BIM software. Update and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all design changes, site variations, and As-Built data are accurately captured. Generate precise 2D construction drawings, shop drawings, section views, and schedules directly from the 3D model environment. Coordination & Clash Detection Perform regular clash detection checks using Autodesk Navisworks to identify and resolve spatial conflicts between different engineering disciplines before site work begins. Assist the BIM Coordinator in running coordination meetings, tracking design discrepancies, and proposing practical modelling fixes. Ensure all model outputs conform strictly to the project's BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and company drafting standards. Documentation & Data Management Manage and organize digital design files within the project's Common Data Environment (CDE) in accordance with local ISO 19650 protocols. Ensure seamless data exchange and file conversions across teams (e.g., handling DWG, RVT, and IFC formats). Job Requirements Education: Diploma or specialized certification in BIM, Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related Built Environment discipline. Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of hands-on BIM
