In order to qualify for the GS-12, you must meet the IT Competencies below AND the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: Participating in open-source projects or initiatives to develop, modify, or enhance IT products, services, or systems; AND Collaborating with internal or external stakeholders to develop business or user requirements and translate them into IT specifications, design artifacts, or interactive prototypes; AND Using quantitative or qualitative research methods (e.g., surveys, interviews, usability studies, analytics review, contextual inquires) to generate insights that influence or inform product design and services.
