Your Job As a Engineer, Die Design, your primary responsibility is to lead and participate in the design and development process from concept to delivery. You will provide the best value working design solutions for technical problems. Collaboration with Product Designers, Procurement, Buyers, Stamping, and vendors is essential to meet project launch objectives. Our Team You will be reporting to the Principal Engineer, Die Design. In this role, you will frequently engage with external vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth processes and achieve project goals. What You Will Do Lead the design and development from concept to delivery, providing effective solutions to technical challenges. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including Product Designers and Procurement, to achieve project objectives. Formulate the scope of works and develop design philosophies based on product design. Provide ballpark quotes and schedules for MIE during project launches. Highlight product design issues during design reviews and FMEAs. Conduct tooling design reviews using design guidelines and FMEAs. Design and develop tooling to support new product launches, ramp-ups, and FA closures until mass production. Collaborate closely with Toolmakers on FOT and Die Qualification. Work with procurement for quotations and vendor selection. Attend design review and progress meetings, acting as the primary point of contact for vendors. Coordinate with external vendors for design reviews, schedules, specifications, FA closures, and other technical issues. Drive new technologies and methodologies to effectively reduce lead time, cost, and quality. Improve tooling for QN, QAP, and yield loss reductions. Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Diploma in Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of experience in die debugging, fabrication, and building of progressive dies. Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Siemen NX. 3 to 5 years of experience
