Position Overview We are seeking a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to support EHS operations within a biopharmaceutical environment on a 6-month contract. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations, overseeing contractor and project activities, and promoting a strong safety culture across site operations while supporting brownfield projects and day-to-day EHS initiatives. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Conduct daily site safety supervision and monitor contractor activities. Review and approve Job Safety Analyses (JSA), risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work applications. Issue and manage permits for high-risk activities, including work at height, hot work, welding, and confined space entry. Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, contractor briefings, and EHS training sessions. Perform Gemba walks, EHS audits, and site inspections to identify hazards and drive improvements. Lead incident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Maintain EHS documentation, hazard registers, reports, and compliance records.
