Basic Requirement for IT Specialist (Information Security/System Administration): Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes implementing existing policies related to effective telecommunications and network systems, analyzing security system failures to determine the source of the problem, and monitoring information systems performance to ensure security functions are supported. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
