Job Description
This position reports to the Firmware Engineering Manager and will be trained to: • Build an AI-enabled monitoring system for SG testbeds with real-world impact • Enable intern to design and implement end-to-end engineering solutions • Develop capability in AI integration, system design, and lab automation • Deliver a production-relevant solution usable by engineering teams Learning Outcomes: • Solve engineering challenges using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) • Design and prototype innovative solutions to improve engineering workflows, testing, or productivity • Work closely with engineers to translate problem statements into practical solutions • Support lab setup, configuration, and maintenance for development and testing activities • Contribute to automation, test improvements, or development accelerators • Document and present solutions and learnings to the team Technical Skills and Competencies: • AI tools, coding, and problem-solving • Familiar with programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, or similar) • Curious mindset with a passion for innovation and experimentation • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team • Hands-on working in lab environments • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools used in real projects • Opportunity to build innovative solutions with real impact • Exposure to industrial engineering systems and lab environments • Mentorship from experienced engineers and technical leaders • A chance to showcase your work and contribute to innovative initiatives
