Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.Export Control : This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed..As a Network Development Engineer at Amazon Leo, you will lead the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of mission-critical enterprise networks supporting our manufacturing facilities, research labs, launch sites, and mission operations centers worldwide. You'll analyze traffic patterns and capacity needs for the factory floor while planning network expansion for new lab spaces. You will participate in the deployment of network solutions for upcoming launch sites, contract manufacturing partners, and testing facilities. You will coordinate with vendors on WAN circuit installations, troubleshoot routing issues affecting production systems, and mentor team members on complex network deployments. You'll participate in change management meetings, schedule maintenance windows, and document network modifications. Throughout the day, you'll handle escalations from manufacturing teams, validate network security controls, and ensure high availability across all sites. The role requires balancing immediate operational needs with strategic planning and improvement of processes and procedures in order to maintain network reliability for mission-critical operations.This is an on-site role that requires employees to work from the company's office 5 days per week. Remote work is not an option for this position. The role will include up to 25% of business travel.
