Contract Period: 18 Months Working Location: Central / 2 days WFH Role Overview We are seeking a Service Designer to support the discovery, service blueprinting, and operational workflow design for an automatic station ingestion platform. The role will focus on understanding how people, field operations, edge infrastructure, and cloud systems interact, and translating those insights into clear service blueprints, process maps, and system-to-human handoff documentation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in complex technical environments and can facilitate conversations across field technicians, engineers, project managers, and end users. Key Responsibilities Conduct discovery and research sessions with cross-functional stakeholders, including field technicians, engineers, project managers, operations teams, and end users. Map current and future-state workflows for automatic weather station operations, sensor inventory, calibration, maintenance, data ingestion, and issue handling. Produce service blueprints that clearly show system interactions, human workflows, operational handoffs, and pain points. Document dependencies across physical fieldwork, edge infrastructure, backend systems, APIs, and data consumers. Create clear system architecture, workflow, and data flow schematics using Figma or equivalent tools. Translate research findings into actionable recommendations for platform design, operational readiness, and implementation planning. Work closely with technical teams to ensure service blueprints reflect realistic system behaviour and operational constraints. Support workshops, stakeholder alignment sessions, and handover of service design outputs to delivery teams. Required Skills and Experience Experience in service design, operational workflow mapping, technical business analysis, or product/service discovery.
