ROLE SUMMARY The sr. financial analyst plays a critical role in evaluating, supporting and scaling high-potential ventures across Africa. This role sits at the core of Renew Capital ’s investment process, supporting sourcing, due diligence, investment decision-making and portfolio value creation. The sr. financial analyst will work closely with investment managers, portfolio company CFOs and senior leadership, building rigorous financial models and translating complex data into clear insights that inform investment decisions. Responsibilities: The sr. financial analyst’s responsibilities are focused on three core areas: 1. Investment Analysis & Due Diligence Prepare and maintain robust financial models for pipeline and prospective investment opportunities. Analyze historical financial data, forecasts and assumptions to assess risk, return, and scalability. Evaluate capital expenditures, depreciation schedules, and capital structuring scenarios. Conduct market sizing, competitive analysis and primary and secondary research to support investment theses. Support financial and commercial due diligence processes from initial screening through investment committee review. 2. Portfolio Support & Monitoring Work directly with portfolio company finance teams on budgeting, 13-week rolling cash flow forecasts, and financial controls.
